Get ready for a bewitching experience on the water! Witches (and Wizards) on Water is a nationwide paddle event that has become a beloved local tradition. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a curious newbie, come join us for a morning of magic and merriment! CHILDREN WELCOME 🙂 All proceeds will support Oakland Goes Outdoors’ On the Water campaign!
Sea Trek will be co-hosting the event this year in both their Alameda (alongside the Ohana Paddle Club) and Sausalito locations. If you’d like to join from Sea Trek’s locations and have your own craft, you can launch from their docks for a $10 launching fee. If you need to rent a SUP or kayak, they welcome rentals and encourage paddlers to make a reservation.

9:00 AM: Arrive at Sea Trek for check-in and outfitting
10:00 AM: Everyone on the water
10:15 AM: Meet up in the lagoon
10:30 AM: Photos at the bridge
10:45 AM: Paddle to the end of the channel
11:00 AM: More photos in the lagoon
11:15 AM: Back to the dock and snack potluck!

Sea Trek and Oakland Goes Outdoors are teaming up once again on October 3rd to support hundreds of students from Oakland Unified School District getting out on the water and into the San Francisco Bay at Sea Trek’s Alameda location.
Join us for a guided paddle, lunch, and a discussion on what your gift to Oakland Goes Outdoors makes possible! Here’s what to expect:
OGO Community Paddle Fundraiser

• Guided paddle: 10:00 am–12:00 pm
• Lunch and OGO update: 12:00 pm–1:00 pm
All ticket sales benefit our On the Water Project campaign, which aims to raise enough funds to support up to 500 OUSD students get out paddling this. Total program costs, including transportation, food and staffing, for 1 student averages $100, so our goal is to raise $50,000 by the end of the 2026-2027 school year. And we need your help to make this vision a reality! Help us surpass last year’s event fundraising total of $5,000!
1000th Trip Community Celebration & Trivia Night
Join us for a joyful evening as we celebrate a major milestone, serving Oakland students with 1,000 outdoor immersive experiences, since Oakland Goes Outdoors (OGO) was launched in 2018.
We’re bringing together educators, partners, supporters and community members for a casual, high-energy night filled with connection, storytelling, and a little friendly competition.
Test your knowledge with nature and outdoors trivia, hear highlights from our educators and students, and be part of a community that believes every young person deserves access to the outdoors.

Join us for a special community paddle in support of Oakland Goes Outdoors (OGO), a program dedicated to helping Oakland public school students access paddlesports and other immersive nature-based learning experiences throughout the Bay Area.
Enjoy a guided 2-hour kayak paddle in beautiful Ballena Bay in Alameda, followed by a light sandwich lunch (included) and an inspiring overview of OGO’s mission and impact.
100% of proceeds will go directly to OGO’s youth programs.
